ABOUT THE DETAILS

All of our leathers are made by hand in Toronto from genuine bovine leather. Leather is a unique material that requires careful consideration and expertise. Each hide is analyzed for weight, color, grain, texture, and natural marks or scars before use. The leather selected for each bag is thoughtfully chosen, highlighting its individuality. Cowhide leather lends both durability and rich depth to each piece. We aim to source our materials from local suppliers, ensuring quality and supporting our community. Variations in texture, grain, and natural imperfections contribute to the distinctive character of each bag. If you have any questions about the final product, please reach out to us—we’re here to provide further context and insights.

DESIGN
Every piece begins with an idea, focusing on both form and function, with a heavy emphasis on quality and longevity.

SOURCING
Once the design is finalized, we source high-quality materials, including leather, silk, and hardware, prioritizing local suppliers.

EVALUATION
Before crafting begins, we meticulously analyze the leather. Each hide is examined for its properties of color, grain, weight, texture, and any natural scars or imperfections. Every square inch of leather is reviewed to ensure that the final product is cohesive in aesthetic qualities and durable.

CONSTRUCTION
With the leather selected, we move to the cutting and construction phase. Each piece is carefully cut and sewn according to the design specifications. After the main construction is complete, finishing touches and hardware are added.

INSPECTION
Finally, a thorough inspection of the completed bag is conducted. Every stitch, thread, zipper, buckle, and drawstring is reviewed and evaluated.
